You should feel this stretch in the heel of the front foot and the thigh and knee of the back leg. Hold the stretch 10 seconds and then repeat on the other side.
Icing the arch of the foot can be extremely effective for pain relief. One of the best ways to do this is to freeze a plastic water bottle. Next, roll the bottle back and forth under your foot for 10 minutes. Refreeze and repeat the process on the other side.
